Outdoor Policy

Outdoor Alliance works to protect and promote sustainable, equitable access for outdoor recreation through advocating for new legislation, collaboration with land managers, and protections for public lands and waters. Along with promoting improved legislation, we defend critical conservation policy and the public process to ensure all Americans have a say over their public lands and waters.

Climate Policy

Climate change has a significant effect on public lands and waters. Addressing climate change means ensuring a future with clean air and water, protected land, renewable energy, and economic growth. Outdoor Alliance and its member groups work closely to make public lands and waters a part of climate solutions.

Funding Public Lands

Adequate funding is one of the biggest obstacles to protecting public land, and it’s a problem that doesn’t get nearly enough attention. Outdoor Alliance works to ensure that Congress allocates enough funding for the outdoors and that programs like the Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Great American Outdoors Act support outdoor experiences.
